A green boost in a pinch of powder – for dogs that shine from within.
Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae packed with nutrients—a true superfood. This green powder is chock-full of plant-based proteins, vitamins (such as B1, B2, B3, and B12), minerals (such as iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium), and antioxidants.
For dogs, spirulina is a natural powerhouse that helps bring the body into balance, supports the immune system and makes the coat shine like a mirror in the sun.
Immune system booster – helps strengthen the immune system, especially during stressful or tiring periods
Healthy skin & shiny coat – thanks to the high concentration of omegas, chlorophyll and essential fatty acids
Natural detox – binds to heavy metals and waste products, and supports the liver
Supports energy and endurance – thanks to the B vitamins and high protein content
Support for allergies – thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties of phycocyanin
And as a bonus, spirulina also contains natural iodine – a mineral that helps with thyroid function (although this is something to keep an eye on in overly sensitive dogs – see warning).
Spirulina has a rather distinctive flavor, so start with a small amount. You can easily mix it with wet food, yogurt, goat's milk, or a Lickimat spread.
Daily guideline:
Small dog (–10kg): ¼ teaspoon
Medium dog (10–25kg): ½ teaspoon
Large dog (25kg+): max. 1 teaspoon
💡 Build it up slowly: some dogs need some time to get used to the taste or effect.
Marley's tip: combine it with a spoonful of coconut milk powder or a favorite snack!
Not suitable for puppies under 6 months.
For thyroid disorders (hypo/hyper) : spirulina contains natural iodine – it is wise to consult your vet.
Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless advised by a professional.
Some dogs may experience temporary softer stools when fed a high dose – less is often more!

Return contribution:
