Why is apple cider vinegar so great? Well, it really has a multitude of benefits, but for now, let’s just talk about the topical uses. The main reason we at Project Sudz love and use apple cider vinegar (ACV) in our shampoos is to help itchy pets.
Apple cider vinegar has natural antifungal and antimicrobial properties, which help to relieve hot spots and yeast infections. Project Sudz uses organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar combined with a vinegar “mother,” a substance that helps to harness the beneficial and healthy bacteria. I know you’re probably thinking, “Bacteria?! Ugh, that sounds like something I don’t want on my skin?” Well, our skin and that of our pets (and gut) are teeming with bacteria, a microbial community or normal flora. It’s like a community of good bacteria working together to keep us safe and healthy. Apple cider vinegar helps us maintain the good bacteria and prevent the bad bacteria, reducing itching and infections.

Wet your dog. Hold the shampoo bar and rub the bar over your dog, don't forget his belly, neck, paws and feet ;) Massage the foam carefully into your dog's entire coat. You can also do it faster, but by massaging you shake all the grease and other dirt from your dog's hair. Then rinse your dog thoroughly. Be careful not to get the soap in your dog's eyes, this can hurt! Voila, done and a treat earned! Let the bar dry before you clean it up.
